UHS-II SD interface was announced in 2011. It took many years for camera manufacturers to equip this high-speed interface on new camera models. UHS-II was first adopted on Panasonic camcorders with microP2 cards in 2013. The first batch of consumer digital cameras supporting UHS-II was released in 2014, starting with Fuji X-T1 and later Samsung NX1. Olympus launched UHS-II compatible cameras in 2015, and Nikon released D500 with UHS-II interface in 2016.

Important Tips for UHS-II SD Card
UHS-II SD cards are backward compatible with UHS-I card slots. But high UHS-II transfer speed can only be achieved when both camera slot and SD card support UHS-II standard.
