How to setup USB Cash Drawer?

1.) Put the CD driver that included with the USB cash drawer into PC.

2.) Then install the driver accordingly (this is for CodeSoft USB Cash Drawer, it may be vary for different brand).

3.) Once finished install the driver, plug the USB of the cash drawer to the PC. You can found it at ‘Device Manager’, under ‘Ports (COM & LPT)

4.) Now go to open QnE system, for cash sales setting, go to File -> POS Setting
If the package don’t have POS module, for cash sales setting, go to File ->Utilities -> QnE Management Tools -> Tools -> POS Setting

5.) At the POS Setting screen, tick ‘Use Cash Drawer’ select option ‘Serial Port/USB Port (COM), then click ‘Advance’ button.

6.) After click ‘Advance’, will prompt another setting screen. At the screen, set the comm port and baud rate for the device. Comm port can refer to Step 3 to check which port you are plugged in on the PC.

Different device will have different baud rate. This can refer to the user manual of the device or the manufacturer. (For CodeSoft USB Cash Drawer using in this setup, the baud rate is 19200). Once finish the setting, click ‘OK’, then click ‘Confirm’ at POS setting.

7.) Now can go to open cash sales, then click ‘Eject’ button to test the cash drawer is it function or not.

8.) For POS system setting, user must have POS module. Now go to POS -> POS Operation. Then login to POS system.

9.) To setup device at POS, go to File -> Hardware Setting.

10.) At Hardware Setting screen, tick ‘Use Cash Drawer’ select option ‘Serial Port/USB Port (COM), then click ‘Advance’ button.

11.) After click ‘Advance’ button, will prompt another setting screen. At the screen, set the comm port and baud rate for the device. Comm port can refer to Step 3 to check which port you are plugged in on the PC.

12.) Now testing the Cash Drawer by make a transaction and do payment. The cash drawer will eject once make payment and click ‘Confirm’.
