Installing USB devices on the latest Apple operating systems often involves adjustments in the Security & Privacy settings, which can sometimes pose challenges during installation. Driver Installation
After downloading and extracting the driver, run the installation program and follow the on-screen prompts. During the installation, be attentive to potential Privacy & Security requests, as your computer may require your authorization for third-party drivers. Note that a system restart may be necessary.
Verify Installation
After installing the driver and restarting your computer, connect the product. Verify whether the hardware is correctly recognized by your computer.
a. In "System Report" -> "Hardware" -> "USB Device Tree" check for the presence of the USB-Serial Adapter.
b. In Terminal, use the command "ls /dev/cu* " to check for the device. In normal circumstances, it should display: "/dev/cu.PL2303G-USBtoUART10"
c. If not displayed, use the command "ioreg -p IOUSB" to inspect and identify the USB-Serial Controller. 
If found, adjustments may be needed in the Privacy & Security settings.
